Popis: | Since the introduction of the first mobile phones in the early 1980s, they have undergone a considerable amount of growth and development. In order to standardise the network environment in which mobile phones operate, a large number of different systems have appeared around the globe. With new third-generation (3G) systems hitting the market now, there are even more standards, which can make the situation quite confusing. The development of cellular systems can be considered to have progressed through three generations. Each one has shown a steady increase both in terms of features offered and overall performance. |
