The optimal ratio of direct and alternating current (DC and AC, respectively) power for photovoltaic (PV) power plants equipment was determined using the improved non-linear least-cost model to optimize the structure of equipment. DC/AC ratio 1.59 was calculated on the criteria of minimization of the levelized daily cost of electricity according to the annual hourly PV power plants capacity of Ukraine's Integrated Electricity System (IES). The implementation of PV power plant with a certain optimal structure of equipment will reduce the levelized cost of electricity production during its life cycle by 4.2% compared to the initial DC/AC ratio at 1.2. Evaluation of results carried out through the calculation of the levelized cost of electricity during operating life confirmed the reliability of the results obtained using a non-linear mathematical model. |
