Application of Monte-Carlo method for design and optimization of beam lines

Popis: Monte-Carlo algorithms developed in PNPI RAS for calculation and optimization of particle beam are presented. We discuss the MEZON code for simulation of the particle behavior in the beam line and the OPTIMUM code for optimization of the beam parameters. Combination of Monte-Carlo GEANT3 calculations with MEZON code provides the very effective tool for designing the beam lines with absorbers.
