This paper focuses on analysis of damp heat tests performed on small 10cm x 10cm amorphous silicon glass on glass mini modules. The modules were prepared in-house in superstrate configuration with monolithic interconnections. Combination of encapsulants like EVA, Silicone, PVB with or without edge sealants like PIB and Silicone were tested during the experiment. The modules underwent 1000 hours in 85°C and at 85% RH as per IEC 61646 regulations. Performance and visual analysis of these a-Si:H modules were carried out at specific intervals during the test. Additionally, sensor modules using capacitive sensors and cobalt-chloride stripes modules were tested under DH separately to understand and correlate moisture ingress. This paper reports the best combination of materials that successfully withstands the test along with a comparison of moisture content measured inside various sensor modules. A brief analysis of the reasons of failure of other modules is also provided.
