Popis:	SummaryIt has been shown that in the fasted rat glycolic acid does not form glycogen nor does it form acetone bodies in the fed or fasted rat. Glyoxylic acid causes the formation of acetone bodies in the fed rat. From this evidence it has been concluded that neither glycolic nor glyoxylic acids are inter-mediates in the transformation of glycine to glucose in the animal body.
