Analysis of the methods and means of bioregeneration in triathletes

Popis: Background. Triathlon is becoming an increasingly popular sport discipline. Amateurs do not have enough time and funds to focus on their suitable regeneration, which is supported by wellness- based rejuvenation therapy. Aim of the study was to check how amateur triathletes care about their bioregeneration. Material and methods. The sample included 52 triathletes, 35 men and 17 women aged 16-60 years and older. The participants completed an original questionnaire, which provided results of the research. Results. Most respondents are using methods of biological regeneration. They go to saunas, massage and do rolling. Most triathletes are not caring about a proper diet, however they are focusing on adequate hydration during a day or during training. The results of the research show that triathletes use supplements. Vitamin D is the most popular supplement. More than 90% of respondents sleep from 6 to 8 hours. The results indicate that athletes believe that bioregeneration improves mental condition and favorably affects athletic performance. Conclusions. The triathletes should have more knowledge about the methods of biological regeneration. Especially, they should acquire more information proper nutrition.
