Popis: | The maximum Josephson current (MJC) is measured for small mesas fabricated on cleaved surfaces of Bi/sub 2/Sr/sub 2/CaCu/sub 2/O/sub 8+/spl delta// single crystals. It is found that the MJC increases dramatically with increasing c-axis conductivity. The behavior indicates that the MJC is proportional to the square of the c-axis conductivity. This implies that the superconductivity in high-T/sub c/ superconductors is likely to be inhomogeneous. |
