Popis: | In this paper, a new protection relay for interfacing microgrids with inverter-based sources to an active distribution network is proposed. The proposed relay algorithm is based on instantaneous symmetrical components. This protection scheme can address the protection issues in active distribution networks, caused by limited and variable fault current contribution from inverter based sources. The effectiveness of proposed method is analyzed by conducting simulation studies in the PSCAD/EMTDC software environment. |
