Popis: | Plant development is a complex process that is regulated by the action of many gene products and small signaling molecules such as plant hormones. Recently, it has become clear that small protein signaling and regulatory molecules are important for many aspects of plant development. The DVL/ROT gene family encodes predicted small proteins that have been shown to play a role in Arabidopsis development. However, little is known about the genetic pathways in which these family members are active. Here, we show that many transcription factors are responsive to overexpression of a DVL/ROT family member. One of these transcription factors was NAC1. NAC1 was shown to genetically interact with a DVL/ROT family member, including through an unexpected epigenetic interaction. |
