Popis: In the present work we present and analyze new experimental data, demonstrating the effect of the concentration of fluorescent molecules and the excitation frequency upon the luminescence spectrum of solid polar dye solutions. The systems chosen for study are 3amino- and 4-emino-N-methylphthalimide in a polystyrene macric, polymechylmethacrylate (PMMA) and polyvinyl alcohol. The samples were prepared as thin plates, with an optical density no greater than 0.03 at the maximum of the absorption band. The phthalimide derivatives were selected because of the high quantum yield for their emission and the low tendency to form associated complexes in the matrices chosen.
