Popis: | Various dinuclear copper(II) compounds bridged by the oxalato, oxamato, and oxamidato ligands were prepared and characterized by means of magnetic susceptibility and IR spectroscopy. The strong antiferromagnetic couplings through their carboxylate or carboxamidate groups are interpreted in terms of the ligand basicities and the electron withdrawal due to the resonance of the substituents. |
