In EDIB no.2, 1977, Hannes Hyrenius published an article which gave population aspects on the RIO project, one of the projects initiated by the Club of Rome. In the following issue of EDIB (No. 3) I wrote some lines of criticism of this article. This reply caused Hannes Hyrenius to write a long couner-attack which was published in EDIB No.4, 1977. For obvious reasons I cannot accept H.H.’s position to remain unchallenged. However, as the readers of EDIB may become bored by too much polemics, I have found it better to clarify my position through a largely independent article on the above theme. |
