Due to economic interest in combating technical losses and steady state voltage regulatory requirements, the network reconfiguration to reduce technical losses and improve voltage levels is proposed in this work. To this end, the reconfiguration problem was modeled taking load variations into consideration, seeking, thus, an optimization topology that will remain unchanged for a planning period. The formulated problem is solved by a genetic algorithm that uses special operators capable to generate only radial topologies. The efficiency of this approach is evaluated through results obtained by computational simulation of 135 bus test system assigning a 24-h load profile with sampling interval of 15 minutes to each demand node. |
