Popis: | For detection and measurement of light intensity at low illumination level, operational amplifiers are generally used in combination with silicon photodiode, to get a workable output signal in the form of voltage or current. Naturally the noise present both in photodiode and operational amplifier itself, gets amplified. In this paper analytical expressions for signal to noise ratio of a silicon photodiode — operational amplifier combination is calculated from the electrical noise equivalent circuits, when the photodiode is operated in photo conductive mode. |
