Popis: | Nowadays, biogenic synthesis of metal nanoparticles using plants has attracted greater in a wide range of pharmaceutical interest owing to posses suitable alternative treatment strategies than existing conventional chemical methods. In the present study, we reported the facile, cost-effective, reproducible biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Gp-AgNPs) using Indian folk medicinal plant, Gnaphalium polycaulon (Gp) leaves extract. The formation of Gp-AgNPs was confirmed by the assistance of different sophisticated analytical techniques. The synthesized Gp-AgNPs exhibited the maximum SPR peak at 365 nm. FT-IR result indicated the presence of various active functional groups in the extract, which may be responsible for the reduction and stabilization of the Gp-AgNPs.
