Popis: | Bibliometrics has developed into a prominent research field that provides way for evaluating and bench-marking research performance. However, the performance of researchers is graded on par with one another within a scientific publication. Though theories do exist in the literature for provision of reportedly higher credits for the first author, reality is very trying due to the extent of possible manipulations. Mining author contributions would bring in semantic perspective to a certain extent. But this mining has to happen with the foundation of author profiles. Generation of individual author profiles or author blueprints would create provisions for analyzing the extent of author’s contribution to a publication. This paper proposes the idea of generating author blueprints from author’s publication histories across domains using hierarchical Dirichlet processes (HDP). |
