Transition densities of collective excitations inSn118

Popis: Electron scattering cross sections have been measured for the elastic and the first 2{sup +},3{sup {minus}} and low-lying 4{sup +} excitations in {sup 118}Sn. Forward angle data were taken for momentum transfers in the range 1.24{lt}{ital q}{lt}2.74 fm{sup {minus}1} allowing the extraction of transition charge densities in a Fourier-Bessel analysis. Comparisons are made with microscopic calculations performed in the framework of the self-consistent finite Fermi system theory and quasiparticle phonon approach.
