Popis: | In Norway, the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) comprises preventive work, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders age 0–18 years. Assessment of the child’s interaction with his/her family and the social network is a matter of course. Collaboration with other professionals both within and outside the psychiatric institutions and in various sectors is an essential part of the professional work. Consultation and/or advice to others who meet children and their families are important elements, e.g., primary healthcare (physicians, health nurses, midwives, physiotherapists) somatic hospitals, child habilitation, school pedagogical and psychological services, and child protection services. |
