Popis: | In a previous paper the authors analyzed theoretically the spatial motion of a stretched string subjected to two harmonic excitations with different frequencies, and found that spatial motion as well as planar motion due to combination resonance can occur. This paper confirms experimentally the occurrence of the motions predicted theoretically. In the experiments, it was found that the response is sensitive to the difference between the natural frequencies in the two perpendicular directions. This paper studies the effect of the difference as well. |
