Visualizing advanced manufactured products used and been tested for defects, NDT has played a crucial role in this. But, despite having detection of defects at a particular scale, the application and finish of such products has not been solved yet. Hence, analyzing no parallel development in NDT techniques with advanced growing manufacturing technologies, this study aims to propose an enhancement in the technique by using bacterial suspension and interpreting the sample characteristics which helps in accurate and clear results. Inferring liquid penetrant testing as a insensitive technique under 50 µm and for shallow defects. Therefore, to develop a reliable, economical and ecological method to detect surface defects, substituting bacterial suspension instead of liquid penetrant enhances the result. The defects are created using Micro Vickers hardness tester with variable load. After polishing is completed by keeping all safety precautions into consideration micro surface defects are made in aluminum 2014. Proper clean room and ideal conditions are maintained. The Procedure follows with no mutation of bacteria which in turn leads to cut off expenditure. The study also aims to extend the work for detection of defects at macro level production too. This study reveals the view of finalizing the bacterial suspension based on several properties like bioluminescence, mortality, motility and, easy availability . Hence, Pseudomonas fluorescens is selected to be the ideal bacterial culture for experiments. Paper also describes the intensifying factor of accurate results which is caused due to a supplement developer (agar) which acts as a food source and helps in revelation. Paper delineates the record of defects which is observed under UV light. |
