Popis: | A polarimeter which utilizes ortho-positronium quenching in a magnetic field is used to measure polarization of slow positron beams. This polarimeter is employed for a polarization measurement at an e+ beam system where the beam is provided from the β+ decay of 27 Si produced via the 27 Al ( p , n ) 27 Si reaction caused by proton irradiation. The beam polarization is determined to be 38.4±4.0(statistical)±8.7(systematic)%. |
