Popis: | Formation of the eigenmodes of a 1D magnetophotonic crystal formed from a metamaterial (a nanoporous magnetooptical matrix whose pores are filled with a negative-permittivity metal) is studied. It is shown that the magnetooptical properties are not suppressed by strong local anisotropy and, while the metamaterial supports only one propagating mode, the photonic crystal supports propagating modes with both polarizations. |
