Inactivated vaccines have contributed to accumulated global immunity and protection against SARS-CoV-2, and induce both antibody and cellular immune responses. However, there is a knowledge gap in our understanding of the character and quantity of the T cell response to inactivated vaccines, and how such responses compare to T cell immunity from infection and / or other vaccine platforms such as mRNA and viral vectors. The aim of this study is to conduct a systematic review of the peer-reviewed published literature on the T cell response profiles of individuals who received two or three doses of inactivated vaccines against SARS-CoV-2. As a secondary aim the study will examine the published literature on other cellular responses to inactivated vaccines, including B cells and NK cells. |
