Scattering of the Field of an Open Quasi-Optical Microwave Resonator on Microwire with Inhomogeneities

Popis: | The effect of inhomogeneities of the glass-coated cast microwires on the spectral characteristics of the fundamental modes of an open-cavity microwave resonator in the frequency range from 8.2 to 15.5 GHz is experimentally determined. It is shown that the observed inhomogeneities act as local scatterers that have resonance properties. Quantitative data on scattering of the field of the open resonator by such inhomogeneities allow the conclusion on their significant influence on the properties of the composite containing a heterogeneous microwire to be drawn. |
