Popis: Experimental results have been obtained to show that sound will pass through a shock wave with small attenuation. The shock waves were produced by high‐speed bullets and the sound frequencies used were 480 cps and 5000 cps. Various baffles and filters were used. One microphone was used to trigger the oscilloscope, and another one was used to receive the sound signal. Repetition of sweeps was prevented by a mechanical switch operated by the bullet. The measuring techniques will be described and oscillograms will be shown.
