Popis: | A statistical comparison is made between alternative dilution schemes, which range from an all-glass method to the utilization of micro-pipettes. The dilution schemes are compared in terms of accuracy and precision of the dilution. These values for dilution accuracy and precision are then compared to instrument precision. This type of comparison allows one to: (a) explore alternative dilution methods without running side-by-side analysis; (b) exclude instrument noise, which may have a shadowing effect on differences between alternative dilution methods; and (c) find the weak link in the analysis process and then focus on it when attempting to improve the method. |
