Popis: In this study, the influence of Turkish women voters from their spouses and close circles during the voting process and the changes that this interaction shows between women with different ethnicities were investigated. In this context, a face-to-face questionnaire was applied to 500 female voters, who were determined by stratified sampling among 124,921 female voters registered in Sivas Central electoral rolls and identifying themselves with different ethnic affiliations (Alevi, Circassian, Kurdish, Turkish Sunni, Armenian). Our results show that with an average of 3.6, Kurdish women are predominantly influenced by their spouses and close circles, Circassian women are undecided with an average of 3.0, Sunni Turkish women and Armenian women are not affected by their spouses and close circles with an average of 2.1. Finally, our findings show that Alevi women are the women who are least affected by their spouses and close circles while voting, with an average of 1.6.
