espanolEl presente estudio tiene como objetivo recuperar, sintetizar y hacer balance de los desafios feministas que la Dra. Lillian S. Robinson planteo en torno al tema –siempre polemico– de los canones literarios y de su repercusion en los programas educativos. Con este fin, se ha abordado el libro en que Robinson recopilo y prologo sus articulos, lecciones y conferencias que, entre 1982 y 1996, habia dedicado a las tensiones entre critica feminista y hegemonia cultural. Hegemonia para la cual el canon es a la vez punta de lanza y trofeo. Su titulo, In the Canon’s Mouth. Dispatches from the Cultural Wars, da cuenta de la beligerancia con que con la que se percibia y aun se perciben los debates en torno al canon. EnglishThe aim of this article is to recover, synthesize, and take stock of the feminist challenges that Lillian S. Robinson raised around literary canons and their impact on educational programs. This study focuses on the book in which Robinson compiled and prefaced her articles, lectures, and conferences that, between 1982 and 1996, she had devoted to the tensions between feminist criticism and cultural hegemony. Hegemony for which the canon is both a spearhead and a trophy. Its title, In the Canon’s Mouth. Dispatches from the Cultural Wars, accounts for the belligerence with which the debates about the canon were perceived and are still perceived. |
