Popis: | The substitution of Cu with Ag in the orthorhombic compound CeCu2 leaves the crystal structure unchanged, although an expansion of the unit volume cell is observed. This substitution alters the ground state properties from long range magnetic order in CeCu2 (TN≈3.5 K) to a more spin glass like behaviour with an increasing Ag content. Simultaneously, the pronounced Kondo like behaviour, most clearly seen in the minimum of the temperature dependent resistivity, vanishes. |
