Popis: Environmental acclimation is an important step in commissioning new IT equipment in data centers. Acclimation allows equipment that may have been packaged and shipped in a variety of environmental conditions to adjust to the new data center environment before being powered on. Proper acclimation also minimizes the risk of powering on a machine that may still be wet due to moisture condensation. However, acclimation requirements can vary significantly and be too conservative or too vague, leading to misunderstanding of the phenomena, its impact on the system and the time needed for a system to remain unpowered in the install environment.
