Popis: | Tuberculosis of the cervical and cervicothoracic spine is uncommon. We report a case of the tuberculous spondylitis of the cervicothoracic lesion with paraplagia, without pain and other symptoms. Magnetic resonance imaging, particularly enhanced MR imaging, is useful for characterizing tuberculous spondylitis. The rim enhancemant around the abscesses is a finding that is diagnostic of infection. Posterior instrumentation and anterior debridement and spinal fusion were performed, and isoniazid, rifampicin, and ethambutol were administered.Posterior instrumentation is useful for providing immediate stability and protecting against the developmant of kyphotic deformity. |
