Popis: This paper presents a performance analysis of motor starting direct-on-line simulations in Alternative Transient Program (ATP) and MATLAB/SIMULINK. A comparative study between these two softwares was carried out with the objective of evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of both softwares in motor starting direct-on-line simulations. Operation conditions of no-load and nominal were analyzed and its results compared to catalog data for validation purposes.
