Evidence of phase transitions in C84

Popis: Single crystals of C84 have been grown by a vapour phase transport method. They are cubic at room temperature with space group Fm3m and a = 15.864(6) A . X-ray diffraction experiments show a broadening of the Bragg reflexions at low temperature. This is ascribed by the occurence of new phases. Two transitions have been found at about 181 and 235 K. We interpret the width broadening in terms of a domain structure.
