Popis: | Activated carbon fibers are promising materials for theadsorption-catalytic removal of different undesirable impurities, e.g., hydrogen sulfide fromhydrogen. The possibility of increasing the effectiveness of these materials by vacuum depositionof metal coatings (Mo,W,Ni,Ti,Cu) is studied. Magnetron sputtering and electron-beamevaporation techniques are used. Protective titanium carbide coatings, with different carboncontent, are obtained by reactive magnetron sputtering. Such coatings improve the resistance tohydrogen and increase chemo- and thermostability without changing catalytic and sorptionproperties, which is important for catalytic purification. |
