Waiting in a queue to get served is an unwanted experience. The problem refers to a fixed capacity priority queuing system with arrival of two categories of customers; namely non-priority and priority customers. Unreliable server being realistic may breakdown anytime while servicing. Moreover, due to unavailability of the server either due to breakdown or being occupied with other customer, an incoming fresh customer may retry for the service after some random interval of time and thus form retrial queues and orbits (virtual pool of retrying customers). Both the category of customers is eligible for reattempts and therefore forms different orbits (double orbits). The time dependent solution of the model has been done using numerical approach based on Runge Kutta method. |
