Popis:	Dampia pocilloporaeformis, a new genus and species of the Alcyonacean family Alcyoniidae , is described , based upon a specimen from the north of Western Australia. The material has affinities to the genus Sinularia May, as demonstrated by a comparison with a specimen of Sinularia from Sri Lanka.
