Popis: This paper presents convergence issue of distributed hybrid state estimation due to problem of ill conditioning. Distributed State Estimation approach is designed to utilize maximum measurements from the RTUs and PMUs while merging them to implement Hybrid State Estimation(HSE). Hybrid State Estimation (HSE) process is performed by all the sub areas independently at the same time. The convergence time of all the sub areas is approximately same. HSE has been implemented in each individual area. This paper discusses the problem of ill conditiong while implementing hybrid state estimation in distributed network. Distributed Hybrid State Estimation has been applied on IEEE 14 Bus Network and IEEE 118 Bus Network. The Orthogonal method is suggested over Normal Equation method to overcome the problem of ill conditiong if found in any of the area. The accuracy of voltage magnitude and phase angle using NE method and orthogonal transformation method are compared.
