Popis: The purpose of the current study is to explore the relationship between individuals with higher Episodic Future Thought (EFT) ability with their own perceptions (self-report) of their lying ability. We will measure participants EFT ability and examine whether higher EFT individuals believe they are more credible liars that lower EFT individuals. We will also explore the prevalence rates of lying, assessing whether high EFT individuals lie more frequently than low EFT individuals. Furthermore, we will examine the characteristics of lies told by individuals with varying EFT ability, exploring whether higher EFT individuals tell different types of lies to lower EFT individuals. Finally, we will look at the strategies employed for deceiving by individuals with varying EFT ability.
