Popis: An offset-pole periodic cusped magnet (PCM) focusing system for an H-band (220–325 GHz) traveling wave tube was designed and optimized using CST-PS. It is composed of 82 magnetic blocks and 84 poles. The diffusion of the sheet electron beam is effectively suppressed. The transmittance can reach 100% under the elliptical electron emission source.
