Support Services and Alternatives to Institutionalization for Deaf-Blind Children

Popis:	A long-term program for serving deaf-blind children is proposed. The use of two principal facilities—a state institution and a residential school—to carry out the program is outlined, with a description of the services each should provide. Progressive levels of group homes for deaf-blind children are shown to be feasible, cost-efficient, and effective alternatives to institutionalization.
