The study of the post-fire dynamics of the vegetation cover is currently an important research direction in identifying trends in the restoration of vegetation communities. This issue is relevant not only for territories characterized by cycles that include large fires but also for other regions since the scale and frequency of forest fires have increased as a result of the climate change. The presented study examines methodological approaches to high-detailed mapping of the post-fire state of vegetation based on the use of remote sensing data and field geobotanical studies. The legend for the map was developed based on the dynamic component of vegetation communities, which makes it possible to use it for the subsequent updating of the map and for comparing different time periods maps of the study area. The acquired information allows revealing the spatial patterns of the vegetation cover structure in the post-fire area, and the technique can be applied to other regions. |
