| Popis: | Germ cell tumors are curable. The treatment is strictly tailored according to disease status. Serum a-fetoprotein (AFP) is often increased in patients without seminoma and never abnormal in those with seminoma. Thus, AFP is an important tool for diagnosis and prognosis of germ cell tumors. We report 2 cases of a probable hereditary persistence of AFP with testis pain in 1 and pure seminoma of the testis in the other. CASE REPORTS |
