Remarks. Previous records of this species were from the states of Minas Gerais, Paraba and Maranho, comprising the open and dry Cerrado and Caatinga biomes. The new records listed above extend the distribution of the species to the state of MS, mainly in areas of Pantanal and Chaco, but it is noteworthy that all of these records are from very xeric environments. This species was collected directly with nets but was also attracted to rotten fish and banana, and was attracted to pig carcasses and cows lung in previous studies (Alves et al. 2014; Sousa et al. 2015).
