A compact one-section in-line band rejection structure is proposed. Figure 1 shows the circuit configuration of the proposed structure, it simply consists two transmission lines and with one of the transmission line serial connected with a reactive element jX. Using the basic circuit theory analyzing the proposed structure, a design equation is obtained for determining band rejection frequency. Varying the reactive element value will change the band rejection frequency, this flexibility allows the possibility for rejecting the unwanted signal at the existed transmission line easily. Figure 2 shows the band rejection frequencies correspond to various reactive values and different transmission line characteristic impedances. The conditions given are Z 1 = 80 Ω, Z 2 = 100 Ω, the length of L 1 varies at 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 cm, the length of L 2 varies at 1.15, 1.45, 1.65, 1.95, 2.15, 2.45 cm. |
