Simulation study is done using ANSYS fluent software to test the temperature of a proposed design of a heat exchanger that will be used in solar power plant. Different variables were selected such as the fluid type and fluid velocity. For instance, two type of fluids were implemented for this system, water and molten salt at different velocity values. Based on these variables, different temperature distribution results at three different locations were obtained from the inlet to the outlet observing throughout the flow region. Comparing water versus molten salt, molten salt showed high temperature values compared with water where it reaches 372.3 K at the lowest velocity studied. |
