Popis:	Information is extremely limited concerning the significance of the congenital absence of the upper lateral incisor teeth. In spite of the limited information, opinions as to the causation and meaning of this condition are markedly divergent. Partly because of this lack of unanimity of opinion and partly because of the paucity of information, I have deemed the subject of sufficient general interest to warrant a presentation of the clinical findings of one patient in whom the upper lateral incisors are definitely deformed and three in whom the upper lateral incisors of the second dentition never appeared, and in whom radiographic examinations failed to reveal the presence of unerupted teeth.
