Popis: | Ultra Wide Band Radar is a novel technology used for breast cancer detection. This imaging modality uses ultra wide band waveforms to form a reflectivity map of the breast region in which tumors can potentially been clearly distinguished. In this study, the authors assess the use of a novel Breast UWBR reconstruction approach, microwave holography, on anthropomorphic phantoms. These phantoms mimic both the shape and dielectric properties of human breast. The images formed using microwave holography are consistent with the location of the synthetic breast structures and show signal to clutter level above 3dB. |
