Popis: Today, railways are developing, especially the hybrid electric train. In this context, interest is given to energy storage, power management and compensation strategy is important. Most of the trams are electrified and usually connected to a continuous electrical network. They capture their energy via an overhead electrical line (catenary) connected to the distribution network. The electric distribution system is a 750 V direct current source. This work deals mainly with the energy optimization, energy storage method and compensation due to voltage drop and that by exploiting the wasted energy. The energy compensation of railways using the DC/DC converter system and storage battery is studied. Results given by MATLAB simulation program show that this strategy can be the best solution.
