Popis: This research was conducted on 11 dogs with traumatic coxofemoral luxation. The direction of the luxations, the operation's specifics, postoperative complications, and radiographic images were documented. The study utilized the toggle pin technique, one of the open reduction techniques. polyester multifilament braided suture with commercial toggle pin were used in 3 cases, and toggle pins made of kirschner wire and monofilament nylon suture material were used in 8 cases. Clinical and radiographic monitoring of postoperative lameness, complications, pain, and infection was performed. In two cases where multifilament braided polyester suture material was utilized, postoperative reluxation was observed, while no other complications were noted. In the cases without reluxation, it was noted that the animals used their limbs comfortably on the 1st postoperative day, and their lameness scores were 0 on the 7th postoperative day. As a result of the findings, the toggle pin technique using monofilament nylon suture was very effective in dogs' traumatic coxofemoral luxations.
