Popis: | The propagation of wideband collimated light beams through a homogeneous medium under various conditions of diffraction at the transmitting aperture is considered. It is shown that diffraction broadening decreases for a collimated Gaussian beam with decrease of the pulse duration, and in the limiting case of “zero” pulse duration, diffraction spreading is absent. |
